Get the Photos Ready

You need to download drawable.zip. You can do that from the 'Browse Photo Catalogue' button on the previous page. Before starting, you need to extract it.

  • Windows: Right-click the file → Extract All...
  • Mac: Double-click the file.
  • Linux: Right-click → Extract Here.

💡 Tip: Move the extracted folder to your Pictures folder so you don't lose it.

Windows 10 & 11

  1. Right-click on any empty space on your desktop.
  2. Select Personalize from the menu.
  3. Under Background, click the dropdown menu and select Slideshow.
  4. Click Browse and select the folder where you extracted the photos.
  5. Choose how often you want the image to change (e.g., 1 minute, 1 hour).
Note: If the slideshow stops when you are on battery, go to Power & Sleep SettingsAdditional Power SettingsChange plan settingsChange advanced power settings and set Desktop background setting to Available for "On Battery".

macOS (Mac)

  1. Click the Apple Menu ()System Settings (or System Preferences).
  2. Go to Wallpaper (or Desktop & Screen Saver).
  3. Click the + button (or "Add Folder") and select your extracted photo folder.
  4. Check the box for Change picture and pick your time interval.
  5. Optional: Check Random order for a surprise every time.

Linux (Ubuntu/GNOME)

Most Linux systems have this built-in:

  1. Open SettingsBackground (or Appearance).
  2. Look for Wallpaper or Background settings.
  3. If you see a "Slideshow" option, select it and choose your folder.
  4. Alternative: Install Variety (a popular wallpaper manager) from your software center for advanced slideshow features.
